Four stage model for PSL

3. evaluate and select alternatives
4. implement the solution

Five stage model for PSL

1. Understand the problem.
2. Describe any barriers
3. Identify various solutions
4. Try out a solution.
5. Evaluate the results.

Identify the pattern of the behaviour. Use schema and prior learning to identify how to approach the problem.
Learners should be familiar with the concept before engaging with the problem
